Week 4: Speed & Acceleration

Heads up on the due dates and a little extra credit for those of you who are checking:

1.  Quiz Friday:  Graphing, Distance and Time Calculations, Interpretting the Graph, Compare & Contrast Speed & Velocity.

2.  All vocab assignments due (creative story and definitions in your own words) up to Frame of Reference.

3.  Quiz 1 corrections in appropriate format due on Thursday.

4.  Check new notes under Speed & Acceleration Page.  Motion II will have the Calisthenics and definitions.

5.  XC:  Explain to me how running from an alligator can help differentiate between velocity & speed.  In addition to studying, this will really help you when you are faced with this situation…as you inevitably will be some day.

2/26: Quiz and Element Project

Due to snow, the quiz will be pushed to Friday 2/29.  It will involve metals, nonmetals, metalloids, drawing Bohr’s model, and Lewis Dot Structures.

The element advertisement project will be due in two weeks.  Attached is the rubric so everyone can see what is expected of you.  You will pick your elements on Thursday 2/28.  Element Advertisement Project  We will begin presenting in between the DSTP on Friday March 7.  There will be no other homework all week and students will have Monday to work on it in class.

2/28- Quiz 3: Bohr’s Model and the ATOM!

Study, practice, then practice and study.  All rules are in the notes section.
