Atoms in the HOUSE!
XC: What do you know about how an atomic bomb works? Can you relate it back to our discussion of an atom?
When and why did WWII end (special focus on our involvement with Japan)?

Hey, Cottone. How come you have “Roller Skating Cow” as part of your blog roll and NOT the links to our team’s blogs? I have you and McRookie! I was explaining to the kids MY extra credit today and Faline and I were discussing your blog, thinking the kids who already use it could very easily click over to our page and back and forth…would you mind adding us? I know, I know. I’ve already requested a time line and a diary from you but I would appreciate a spot on your blog as well! If I have to make you cupcakes, I will!

4000 years ago, Democritus said Atoms are all different shapes and sizes and are indivisible
Democritus’s Model

1800, Thomas Dalton said that the same elements have the same atoms and atoms make up compounds.
Daltons Model

1897, J.J Thomson said that atoms have positive and negative charges and are divisible and have electrons.

1911, Rutherford said that an atom has a positively charged nucleus with neutrons and protons

1913, Bohr said that the electrons orbit around the nucleus

Heisenberg created the wave model which said the electrons move freely
