Week 4: Speed & Acceleration

Heads up on the due dates and a little extra credit for those of you who are checking:

1. Quiz Friday: Graphing, Distance and Time Calculations, Interpretting the Graph, Compare & Contrast Speed & Velocity.

2. All vocab assignments due (creative story and definitions in your own words) up to Frame of Reference.

3. Quiz 1 corrections in appropriate format due on Thursday.

4. Check new notes under Speed & Acceleration Page. Motion II will have the Calisthenics and definitions.

5. XC: Explain to me how running from an alligator can help differentiate between velocity & speed. In addition to studying, this will really help you when you are faced with this situation…as you inevitably will be some day.

hey mr.cottone i did the skating cow and i put the postion to 50 and the V to 2 & A to 50 and i thingk it was decleration b/c it was moving away from the starting point.

Hey Jenn, it was not deceleration but acceleration. It was just curving upward away from the frame of reference. Let me know if you get this and we can talk.
